Nordic Climate Group is strengthening its leadership through the selection of Malin Appelgren as its new Head of Sustainability and Development.

Since its start in May 2021, the group has grown rapidly, and currently has about 1,850 employees working in more than 100 locations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. Turnover amounts to SEK 5 billion.

Nordic Climate Group has taken a position as the Nordic leader in cooling, heating, and energy-efficient installations. The recruitment of Malin Appelgren is a move to increase sustainability and development efforts as the group continues on its strong growth journey.

– I’m so motivated for the work of strengthening our sustainability efforts, in which we help our customers reduce their climate footprint through increased use of natural cooling media and energy-efficient installations. The group is home to so much competence, and it’s also great that Nordic Climate Group has joined SBTi (Science Based Target initiative), with concrete goals that we intend to achieve, says Malin Appelgren.

Malin Appelgren started her career as a toxicologist, but has devoted the past 20 years to the field of politics and the public sector. Her most recent post was in the leadership team of Ambea AB as Director for Growth, Marketing, and Communication. This position included responsibility for sustainability, primarily within the areas of property and transports.
